| Motor Neurone Disease Awareness Week 4 - 10 May 2008 - Motor Neurone Disease is the name given to a group of diseases in which nerve cells controlling muscles of movement are slowly destroyed.
As Patron of the Motor Neurone Disease Association of Queensland, I took on the role in 2004 in order to raise awareness of both the illness and the devastating effect it has on the families of people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), and to raise funds to support the work of the Association.
